Emotional was released in the U.S. the same year as his breakthrough album, Falco 3, which included the hit "Rock Me Amadeus." It is hard not to consider that this album (on Sire, not A&M, the home of his hit record) was rushed to market to capitalize on his one-hit wonder status. Standout tracks include the title track, "Crime Time," "The Kiss of Kathleen Turner," and a follow-up to the banned song "Jeanny" called "Coming Home (Jeanny Part II, One Year Later." "Cowboyz and Indianz'" contains some interesting Star Wars allusions. Not essential by any means, even for somewhat serious fans. However, a surprisingly solid new wave album that is quirky and fun. A great used-record find.

Spacebox is the solo project of Uli Trepte (Guru Guru bass player, also member of early Neu! and Faust). Two albums have been released; "Spacebox" (1981) with Geoff Leigh and Catherine Williams as guests and "Kick Up" (1984) as a collective: it features an electric, eclectic, primitive "jazzy" rock "trip". These intriguing "obscure" German improvisations have been reissued by the Japanese label Captain Trip.

Continuing to work with Conny Plank, who once again provides a compelling job as producer and engineer, Kraftwerk went right ahead and named their new album after their two remaining members – an understandable enough move. Like the first two albums, Ralf and Florian still has not seen official re-release, for all that one can practically taste Kraftwerk's leap into the beyond on it. Given that this was the last album before the most famous lineup was formed and Autobahn was released, it's appropriate to listen to Ralf and Florian as a harbinger for the future, though perhaps all too easy. Take it on its own terms – a further investigation of electronic possibilities in a more open-ended, less constantly structured fashion than would be the case later – and Ralf and Florian becomes most enjoyable.

The great recordings of the "Nordic choral marvel": Swedish choral conductor Eric Ericson was one of the true legends in his field. When he died in 2013 at the age of 94, he had spent decades working to place his two Stockholm choirs among the international musical elite. His recordings from the 1970's enjoy real cult status – unique interpretations of a cappella works from the Renaissance to the 20th century, from Gesualdo to Penderecki, released here for the first time in a single box.

A touch more immediate and song-oriented than its predecessor, but no less enchanting and lovely to hear, Deluxe again features the trio experimenting with a variety of approaches, most particularly including vocals here and there for the first time. There's also a guest musician helping out, namely Mani Neumeier from Guru Guru, and while he's not playing all the time, where he does appear, as on the wonderful lengthy jam "Walky-Talky," a blend of his percussion and swooping guitar filigrees and keyboards, it's a fine choice. His slow, subtle build throughout the song helps send it higher and higher without seeming to. The various vocals really do fit the music in a lovely way, and it's little surprise that Brian Eno might have felt even more of an affinity with the group than before, being non-musical but still affecting, like mysterious chants or barks…

Antonio Rosetti, who was almost always mentioned in the same breath as Mozart and Haydn by his contemporaries, composed over 40 symphonies, about six dozen solo concertos and chamber music and a considerable number of sacred vocal works. Ranked amongst his greatest achievements in the latter genre are the large-scale passion oratorio "Jesus in Gethsemane" and the "Hallelujah" cantata. Both show the virtuoso mastery of a whole array of musical techniques. Thanks to their melodic ingenuity, sophisticated harmony, a distinctive sense of proportion and the, as always, accomplished manipulation of orchestral tones, both of these late works are counted among Rosetti's most meaningful creations. There is no better conductor for this disc of Rosseti masterpieces than Johannes Moesus who is president of the International Rosetti Society.

Formed at the end of the 60's, Gomorrha raised from the German progressive rock scene thanks to the help of the producer and sound engineer Conny Plank. The band original line up includes Helmut Pohl (drums) and Eberhard Krietsch (ogan, bass) with Ad Oschel and Ali Claudi at the guitars. They released their first album in 1970. They distinguish with a dense heavy psych rock experience punctuated by organ dominated sequences. In 1972 they release what will be considered as their summit "I Turned To See Whose Voice It Was"; An adventurous album featuring catchy instrumental jams, krautrock's original psych / spacey mood, pastoral flute parts and heavy guitar riffs. The concept of this release is focused on the apocalypse theme and the book of revelation. They suddenly split up in 1973 after the publication of two memorable documents of German independent rock.

Usually regarded as the Belgian Zao, Cos develops an European type of chamber-rock, built on onomatopeic vocals or sung in French or German. The band displays beautiful themes interwined with complex orchestrated rhythms. Its music evokes the Canterbury School (Caravan, Hatfield And The North), the anguished and dark music of King Crimson or Quiet Sun and Terje Rypdal's atmospheric jazz-rock. Pascale Son uses her high-pitched voice, able to perform the most incredible modulations, and this allows her to become one of the best singers in that style. The leader Daniel Schell is a guitarist extraordinaire, and proves to develop ideas as original as Robert Fripp's. "Babel" has been initially published in the year 1978, and the seven tracks of the original album have been completed by a ballet music ("Pro Arte Gymnastica", directed by Jac Delsing in Anvers, March 3rd 1979.), as well as three tracks captured live two years later in Hannover (Germany)…

Ougenweide is a Teutonic musical collective formed at the beginning of the 70's. Their music consists of "pastoral" folk rock compositions with Middle Ages influences. They recorded their first album in 1973. Since 1974 until the end of the 70's they published several albums for Polydor label. They released their last album in 1981 before to split up in 1985. The band reformed in 1996 for a reunion album called "Sol". Both released in 1976, "Orhrenschmausen" and "Eulenspiegel" represent their most notorious efforts. Two classics in the mood of authentic "Pagan" folk rock music with a great variety of acoustic instruments from medieval (with mandolin, flute, Krummhorn.) to "World" (sitar, bongos, marimba.). The result is unique and highly inspired, introducing the listener in an "enchanting" poetic, mythical world. Beautiful lyrics in German accompany tremendous prog folk instrumentations…

His first major success came in 1962, as a co-writer of the European hit "Chariot." In 1963, the song was given English lyrics, renamed "I Will Follow Him," and became a number one American hit for Little Peggy March. Mauriat is best remembered for his 1968 worldwide smash "Love Is Blue."

Heart is a studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released in 2001 by Le Marais Prod. The album was recorded in 2001 at Barouf Studio and Studio Wolf with French producers FX Costello and Laurent Wolf, and was Lear's first album ever to be recorded entirely in France. It was also her first studio release of new material in six years, since 1995's Alter Ego. In an interview, the singer explained that the long gap resulted from her lack of enthusiasm after numerous budget compilations started to appear on the market without her consent. She also revealed that on this album she was given more artistic freedom than before, and decided to include more melodic and sentimental songs. Lear stated that Heart was the album "she has always wanted to make" and that originally, she planned to called it Phoenix.
